It's Time - LCMS Unity and Mission

In response to the LCMS' Blue Ribbon Task Force on Synod Structure and Governance., Rev. Matthew Harrison wrote "IT'S TIME - LCMS Unity and Mission" as an alternative rooted in theology rather than structure, trusting in the gospel rather than the law to bring about positive change in the Lord's church. Rev. Harrison is executive director of LCMS World Relief and Human Care.

Rev. Harrison also recorded an audio version of IT'S TIME.

It is available for listening by clicking here.

Confessions Reading Group

Our Confessions Reading Group meets on Mondays. Pastor Ullman leads the group and we meet at 11:30 a.m. in meeting room 1.

The Lutheran Confessions contained in the Book of Concord (B.O.C.) are the ten statements of faith that Lutherans use as official explanations and summaries of what we believe, teach, and confess. They remain to this day the definitive standard of what Lutheranism is. The ten documents are: the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed, the Augsburg Confession, the Apology [Defense] of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, the Treatise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope, the Small Catechism, the Large Catechism, and the Formula of Concord.

In May we are beginning our study of Luther's Large Catechism.

For more info, or to order your copy of the Book of Concord (either hard copy or on DVD) contact Sylvia in the church office at 812-422-5414.
